Most children in rural China don’t have health insurance. Some are born into families that do not have the ability to save. Some of these families are even battling debt. Some of these children may be born with congenital heart defects (CHD) that could cause pre-mature death.

The FitHearts Heart surgery program provides impoverished, left-behind, and orphans children in rural China financial support for life saving surgery. This brings underprivileged and neglected children a second chance at life and transforms not only their lives, but lives of their families.

The program is developed in collaboration with Heart to Heart (H2H), an organization in Shanghai providing corrective surgery for children with CHD from all over China, whose parents are unable to afford the surgery and Shanghai Rende Foundation a Chinese non-governmental and grant making foundation supporting grass root charitable projects, first public raising foundation introduced by the Shanghai authority.
